I managed to acquire tickets to see QI this season (series G), and last night my cousin, his friend and I went up to the London Studios to watch an episode being filmed. Stephen Fry is my hero, but last night went beyond even my expectations. The filming lasted for about 2 and a half hours, the panel was wonderful (Alan Davies, Phil Jupitus, Liza Tarbuck and Sean Lock) and there was much hilarity (most of which was far too naughty to be aired - if time stood still in Vegas Stephen Fry would surely get every one's cocks out... What?).
The filming is so natural and it was a wonderful night... I recommend to every one everywhere!

Catholicism
Searching through the millions of photos we keep in boxes today I came across a number of things that amused me. Firstly the masses of letters that I have kept over the years from my best friend who moved to America when we were seven. Most of our letters were made up of 'I miss you' and hers were very cute. They also had the frankness that children express so perfectly; "my hamster escaped so we made a trap. We found him dead in the tumble dryer tube. I decided on getting a new hamster".
Then there were the photos of my First Holy Communion. I was never the best Catholic child, but I did try. Well, I sort of tried.
Leading up to our Communions we were taught by Mrs. Vaz every week at Sunday school. General re-caps and reminders of what to say when we reached the alter. I don't think she really liked me that much, I was quite difficult to teach. "Now, was Jesus God?" "Well, technically..." "No"
I'm sure she's still proud of me, wherever she is. I never returned to Church after my Communion.

So it's eleven o'clock, a school night. I'm wearing a toga.

Comprehensive notes
I hate Psychology, it is the low point of my school week. Once we get past the silliness of Freud and the interesting bits of Psychopathologies I am bored. To death.
I do like the chuckles my notes allow me when it comes to revision time, though:
"Effects of environmental factors on aggressive behaviour:
- Overcrowding results in anti-social behaviour,
- Calhown (1960) showed a positive correlation between population and aggression,
- For example, mothers eating their offspring,
- Of course this was a study of rats and thus cannot necessarily be generalised."
...Well I'm not getting laughs from anywhere else.

Conversation
And then the girl I'd just met asked me what my favourite film is.
"Well, I think it'd probably have to be Lost in Translation", I admitted.
"Oh, please!" she squawked. "Come ON, my favourite film's Saw!"
It would seem I'm too much of a girl for some people. Maybe I'm just in love with Scarlett Johansson and the lovely, heart-wrenching lightness of the film. It makes me melt.
